Jamal “J.Perks” Perkins is a Chicago-born entrepreneur, recording artist, songwriter, and SAG-AFTRA actor currently based in Taunton, Massachusetts. Blending sharp lyricism with smooth versatility, J.Perks has built a brand rooted in creativity, freedom, discipline, and authenticity.

His musical foundation began early, playing trumpet at age 9, later evolving into freestyle rap and songwriting that quickly set him apart. By his teenage years, he was already building a loyal fanbase through online releases and live performances, combining natural rhythm, storytelling ability, and business instincts to lay the groundwork for a lasting career.
